Registrations for the 2026 Wham Bam Tauranga Poetry Slam as part of the Tauranga Arts Festival are now open! We're looking for 12 spoken word poets who are ready to take the stage for a live audience. 

Slam rules state each poet will need to have 3 prepared poems in time for the night, one for each round. Slam is first-in-first-selected and those who make the initial list will be contacted by middle of September. 

This form will remain open until the 20th of October, as we keep a waitlist of poets handy in case people can no longer attend.
